Toyota rav4 not starting no crank.

The starter relay is located right next to the 40 amp main fuse 1 in Relay Box No. 2. Make sure the Rav's tranny is in Park (neutral for manual trannies). Have someone put the key in the "Start" position. Listen for a click from the starter relay. If there is no click from the starter relay, try tapping the relay. Report back here what you find.B. Alternatively, a malfunctioning starter motor could be to blame. The starter solenoid is not the issue though, as it is the source of the clicking noise. A vehicle clicking and failing to start is a common problem that is by no means exclusive to the RAV4. The Rav4 computer only lets the oxygen sensor play a role after the engine is at normal operating temperature. Yes the CPS if it totally fails or becomes disconnected it will not tell the fuel pump to send fuel. The RAV4.1 fuel pump is only engaged when the engine is turning over. You won't hear it run just by turning the the key to the on position.
