We never even knew about the VCM issues. We did have the emission light turn on an over and over again and replaced both catalytic converters. One day, it misfired.

It seems to me that the S-VCM & the VCMTunerII Advanced install exactly the same. They both require a wire to the battery. I think there is someone who routed that + wire to a place in the under hood fuse box. The Tuner comes with wires for a switch (that you do not have to use) and the S has that as an option option.The only advantage VCMTuner II has over the S-VCM controller is a built-in accelerometer that allows it to automatically recognize when the engine is being warmed up at a standstill for certain maintenance and repair procedures.
